This year, for the first time, St. Louis Day of .NET is pleased and excited to have a major keynote address delivered to the esteemed attendees of our conference.
Please welcome Mr. Brian Goldfarb, Microsoft Director of Product Management for Developer Platforms.
About Brian Goldfarb
In his relatively young career, Brian Goldfarb has made major waves up in Redmond. A native of southern California, Brian completed his undergraduate work at Duke University with dual degrees in computer science and economics. As a result of his studies and experience, he is keenly positioned to understand the ever-important intersection between business and technology.
An avid and passionate technologist and advocate for user experience, Brian was on the original team that created Silverlight, and has worked on a wide variety of Developer platform technologies including Visual Studio, .NET, ASP.NET, Expression, IIS, Mobile, and more. His primary focus has been around product planning, product management, and marketing with a specific emphasis on helping developers build great applications on Microsoft platforms.
Most recently, Brian has been seen on stage at PDC 2009 with Scott Guthrie, demonstrating the Microsoft Silverlight 4 client for Facebook. He was heavily involved in MIX10 in Las Vegas, and spoke at the Open Source Business Conference in San Francisco. Brian has also spoken at a wide variety of events including TechEd (all over the world), DevDays, WPC, and countless roadshows.
At St. Louis Day of .NET 2010, Brian will be offering his take on the current state of next generation .NET 4.0 development tools, with a strong focus on Silverlight 4 development, including a look at Windows Phone development. His presentation will conclude our first afternoon, Friday August 20, beginning at 5:15 p.m. In addition, he will be present throughout the two-day conference to answer your questions, discuss current topics in the field, and generally have a great time along with the rest of us.
