TWO FULL DAYS OF CONTENT
The second annual St. Louis Day of .NET Conference was held on Friday
and Saturday, August 28th and 29th, 2009. There were so much great content
it can't all be absorbed within a single day!
Great Location
The venue was at
Ameristar Conference Center in St. Charles, Missouri. This great conference
center offers state of the art facilities to accommodate all sessions with a
capacity to support over 1000 attendees. All attendees had access to
all the great entertainment options provided by this exciting location. The
proximity of the conference center to historic downtown St. Charles, Missouri
makes this a great place for the conference.
Over 50 Sessions
We had over 50 unique technical sessions covering all the technologies you use
today, as well as providing a preview to the technologies coming tomorrow. Many
of these sessions were presented twice during the conference in order to
provide attendees with the opportunity to catch all the sessions that interest
them.
This sessions include coverage of such technologies as:
- Silverlight
- WPF
- WCF
- Visual Studio.NET 2010
- DotNetNuke
- Sharepoint
- ASP.NET AJAX
- ASP.NET MVC
- SQL Server 2008
- Test Driven Development
- Agile Programming
Great Speakers
Some of the best and brightest national and regional presenters spending two
days sharing their passion for technology with all attendees.
“Jump Start” Sessions
Special introductory sessions on key technologies, which are aimed at giving
developers a solid foundation and guidance for learning what a technology is,
when it should be used, and what are the best tools and resources available to
begin to take advantage of these technologies.
These sessions were
geared towards beginning to intermediate developers who want to see a technology
in action and get the guidance they need to move forward with a technology. Each
of these special sessions were offered twice during the conference giving
each attendee the flexibility to attending more than one.
Topics covered in “Jump Start” Sessions:
- Getting Started with WPF
- Getting Started with WCF

Special Sessions and Networking Opportunities
In an effort to provide the most value to all conference attendees, this
year’s conference offered a wide array of alternative sessions and other
content such as roundtable discussions, "Birds of a Feather" opportunities, and
a vendor fair.
Special Room Rates for Attendees
Attendees that needed accomodations were allowed to take advantage of a special discounted room rate.
Food and Refreshments
Each day of the event, all attendees received a continental breakfast
plus a boxed lunch. Refreshments were served throughout the day.
Attendee Party at the Home Nightclub
On the evening of Friday August 28th, all attendees, speakers, and vendors were invited to a special event at the
Home Nightclub at the Ameristar. This event featured many networking opportunities to meet and mingle with
the region’s best software developers.
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes
Dozens of great
prizes donated by our great sponsors were distributed to our lucky attendees.
Great Price
As the St. Louis Day of .NET Conference continues to be an event put on by
volunteers from the local development community,
this great conference only costs $100 per attendee ($125 for late registrations). This cost provides
the attendee access to all of our great content plus covers the cost of
breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments for both days of the conference. All attendees took home some great gifts and and some lucky few took away one
of our many prizes.
This low price per attendee is only possible due to the generous support of our
many corporate sponsors who have, in a tight economy, provided financial support
to our conference to make it possible. Without them we could not provide the
level of content and quality that we are so excited about.
