The second annual St. Louis Day of .NET conference was held on August 28th and 29th, 2009.

And it was AWESOME!

We are proud to announce that we had turnout of over 500 local .NET developers, architects, DBA’s, or other technologists. Compared to our first effort, we had less technical glitches, better refreshments supply (the coffee didn't run out), sessions didn't get moved too much. Registration got a tad hairy, but after the initial wait, everything went very smoothly. We hope that every attendee walked away feeling satisfied and with better understanding of existing .NET technologies, and an awareness of the new capabilities from the upcoming .NET technologies to be released in the near future.

We are working on making the sessions materials to be available from our website. We will notify attendees when the first set of sessions are available for access.

As with any event this size, we would like to give a special thanks to a large number of organizations and individuals who helped pull this conference together. Without their sponsorships and hard work, we would not be able to bring conferences like this to the St. Louis .NET community.

The organizers would like to thank:

  • All our corporate sponsors who donated much needed funds and many great raffle prizes which both helped make this event possible and a success.
  • All the speakers who donated their time and expertise to share their knowledge and provide the true value of a conference such as ours; even offering new sessions when they realized a particular technology wasn't covered by the existing sessions.
  • All the volunteers who helped set up for the event on Thursday evening, helping with registration and making sure attendees are directed to the proper rooms for their sessions, and making sure everything is fairly cleaned up on Saturday.
  • And finally, we'd like to thank YOU, the attendees, for registering, coming to our conference and enjoying the sessions, without which this conference could not happen.

This conference was ultimately envisioned and put together for the community and by the community. We encourage all of you to visit www.stlnet.org and become involved in our local organization by attending our monthly meetings or even volunteering to share your knowledge by becoming a presenter.

Thanks again to all for the support to hold our conference and (believe it or not) we are already starting work to prepare for next year’s event,
